Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha was established to bring higher education within reach of rural communities around Sangamner.
Our foundation
Education that moves communities forward.
Established in 1960, Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha aims to provide higher education in rural areas like Sangamner. Sangamner College was founded on January 23, 1961, on Netaji Subhashchandra Bose's birth anniversary.
Arts and Commerce courses began in June 1961, followed by Science in June 1965. The institution has since broadened access to vocational and professional education — including B.B.A, B.C.A, B.Voc., Computer Science, MBA, B.Ed, D.Ed and Law.

The Sanstha's guiding objective is to "uplift disadvantaged rural youth, considering local social circumstances," carried forward under one core principle:

Since 1960, Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha has worked to bring quality higher education within reach of students from Sangamner and the surrounding rural region. Our MBA and MCA programmes carry that mission forward into management and technology — the fields where opportunity is growing fastest.
We believe education must stay rooted in values while keeping pace with a changing world. Guided by the principle "Think globally, act locally", we want our students to graduate with sound knowledge, practical skills and the integrity to lead with responsibility.

Welcome to Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha's M.B.A. Institute, Sangamner. Our MBA and MCA programmes, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, combine strong academic foundations with real-world exposure.
Learning here extends well beyond lectures. Case studies, presentations, group discussions, industrial visits, internships, live projects and guest lectures help students connect theory with practice, while the five MBA specialisations and the MCA curriculum let each student build depth in the area that suits their ambitions.
Our faculty mentor students closely, and the placement cell supports them through résumé workshops, mock interviews and personality development — preparing them for the expectations of industry from day one.
